Opportunities

Build Your Network
ASID offers multiple opportunities to network with members, non-member designers & industry partners. Here are a few of the ways you can keep in touch.

Chapter Events
ASID Upstate NY/Canada East sponsors many events each year that are of benefit to members. The annual Network event brings together people from our entire region. It’s a great opportunity to see new products in the Vendor Showcase & meet potential employees from the impressive group of students that graduate from our area colleges each year. In addition, seminars give you the opportunity to earn CEU credits and improve your knowledge. This year, the event will be held in September in the Eastern section of our region. Look for future announcements showing details on the event,
check our chapter website for all upcoming events, or our Facebook page at "ASID Upstate New York/Canada East"

Connex
ASID Connex allows members to connect with other members across the country who share similar interests. Join groups that focus on specific practice areas, such as healthcare, or serve as a means to research new areas you may be venturing into. Go to www.asidconnex.org follow the log-on instructions.

STEP Program
For students and new professional members who are preparing for the NCIDQ Exam, ASID offers access to STEP programs to help you prepare. You can work with other members who are working towards the same goal and share study strategies. Go to www.asid.org/career/step/and check out the details of the STEP program. Future emails and newsletters from the chapter will let you know what local resources are available to help you through the process.

Volunteer
The Chapter needs volunteers to help run the programs and events for the membership. From small things, as in helping to sign in attendees for events, to helping secure IP members who want to present CEU programs, this offers a great opportunity for members to meet other members in a casual atmosphere and also helps to build the success of the Chapter. If you are interested in working on events, contact our Chapter President, Dani Polidor.

There are local events all over the region that could use your help.
